Jim Corbett was a famous British-Indian hunter, naturalist, and conservationist. He was born on 25 July 1875 in Nainital, India. Corbett became well-known for hunting dangerous man-eating tigers and leopards that threatened villagers.
Later in his life, he turned towards wildlife conservation and played an important role in protecting forests and animals. India’s first national park, Jim Corbett National Park, was named in his honor. He was also a talented writer and authored several books about his experiences in the jungle and his love for nature.
